Every year individuals and organisations throughout the country are making outstanding contributions to the sport and recreation sector. Through their vision and determination they are raising standards and breaking new ground for the benefit of the stakeholders they serve.
The purpose of the New Zealand Sport and Recreation Awards is to recognise and celebrate these successes, to share best practice and inspire excellence.
Winners will be announced on 30 April 2012 at the New Zealand Sport and Recreation Awards Dinner.
Sir Wilson Whineray chairs the judging panel and is joined by former Sport Canterbury CEO, Olympian and Coach, Selwyn Maister; NZCT Chairman, Peter Dale; ANZ Head of Sponsorship, Sue McGregor; respected sport adminstrator, Sir John Wells; and SPARC Chief Executive, Peter Miskimmin.
